There are many great BMX brands (you read BMX Plus magazine?)---Schwinn, Kona, Identiti, and lots more ---find them at EBAY (Sporting Goods category -CYCLING -BMX bikes/Parts).

A good BMX bike, is all of these factors:
one that fits you,
one that u find comfortable to ride,
one that u feel confident riding
One that u like the look of, do not buy a BMX if u think it is ugly, as u wo not want to ride it then.

There r a variety of different types of BMX is that r used for different disciplines of BMX.
Dirt Jumping
Park
Street
Flatland.

Depending on which one of these u wish to participate in, choose a BMX that fits the criteria.

Anyway, I'd advise u to go & buy one from a shop, so u can get a feel of it etc, to make sure it is the right bike for you. As buying simply by looking at a picture online is a recipe for disaster. If u try the bike out, & then go & buy it online though, this is a more sensible approach.
