My other half, Katherine is a resilient cyclist.Those whom know her are well aware of her keenness in racing against me, while l drive my cars.l am concern with the wintry weather, which batter on her day after day.Even though she wears high quality cycling outfits, such as Pearl Izumi, the road grimes that get fling on her are pretty awful.Especially on these country lanes that we often use.For instance, during the rainy days, if l am driving not more than 50 km/h and she is pursuing me, my tyres would toss up so much wet grimes and would virtually give her a shower.

What ?! -Alittle cold & sleet -slow down a dedicated female Cyclist ? l do not THINK so..!!! Your Companion sounds WELL equipped to handle the Elements, in her body, Spirit, & equipment. And just because YOU are afraid to brave the Damp & Chill to pedal along Behind Her (fearing, perhaps, that HER tires might splash alittle mud on YOU), DOESN'T mean that SHE can not handle whatever Nature throws Her Way. l say Support Her & cheer her on. The Lady ROCKS !!! :)

l live in Anchorage, Alaska and there is snow on the ground and it is pretty darn cold but still l and other people bike places and train outside.

No, Its not to grueling for a cyclist. If l were her l would not ride on days where it is a steady downpour. If she has been riding for a long time, the weather wont bother her. BYE BYE

Yin is Kathrine is trying to ride her ultra light road bike? It will be hard for her to want a set of ultra light plastic fenders that is only a solution for water spray up her back. l ride solo and slower my sheet aluminium fenders really help. l do not miss riding in Eugene OR. at 6;45 am in the rain. Texas is much drier for my 11 mile commute.

Bicycle road riders are a tough lot. Girls can be tough too, and it sounds like you found one. If you do not think she should be riding in the cold, maybe you need a new girl, or she needs a new training partner.

Yes it is. girls are notorious sissies and do little as it is. A little nip in the air and they hole up in their room calling into work sick until spring.
