just take the tires off the wheels. they look like they can fit on to the tracks.

Sounds like fun. A buddy of mine in high school used to just lower the air pressure in his car tires and ride the rails all the time ( l never went along, bummer for me)

The tracks are the property of the train companies and are illegal to use.
Getting to/ from the railroad tracks could be a problem.

Search for railcycle. You need to find abandoned tracks though, railroad tracks are private property. l know, l take photographs of trains all of the time. l get hassled occationally, but as long as l stay off of the trcks, l am usually okay.
