Does Alpha Black/White Aluminum frame make a difference?

The Trek 1.7 is alot better than the 1.2. l was faced with the same problem and tested them both. The Trek 1.7 is a sweeter ride.

Get the Trek 1.7 the 105 shifters are great. Go to the local bike shop and try them out you will notice the difference right away.

The 1.7 is a far better bike. It has 105, while the 1.2 has Sora.If l could afford it, I'd go with the 1.7.

As the other posters said, go with the 1.7 if u have the money. You get a better & presumably lighter wheelset which is very important on road bikes. 105 components r very nice & u will get a tenth gear on that rear cassette. That will make it easier to find that perfect cadence for ur riding. Also the frame is better. Looks like the alpha black is higher quiality & has hydroformed tubing which means that the tubes r not perfect circles. The take different shapes to provide more strength with less material at important points.
