Is the Brain worth the money on a Specialized Stumpjumper

is anything that originates from china worth the money?

l dont think so. l only rode one for about 5 miles but it wasnt good at all. On small bumps, it felt like a hardtail almost & on bigger stuff it didnt seem to hold up enough & would just push through the travel too quickly. That said, Bike magazine has a review & they raved about it. They do say that at first it took some getting used to so maybe that is where l was at in those five miles but they loved it..

Yes, but the problem is if you are expecting to jump on the bike and have it perform miracles it wo not happen. This bike and others like it that have highly developed suspensions require tuning. Once you take the time to let the suspension brake-in and dial in the suspension settings to the type of riding you will be very happy.

l have not tested it, but l have the Stumpjumper with Fox shocks and l love it. The brain seems like a great idea, but l do not think it will do much for me. If you were plan on doing XC racing, maybe. Otherwise l think the Fox Triad will be perfectly fine. l cannot even notice it absorbing any pedal force in the back.

idk, but l prefer a fox shock,not specilized
