l cannot fit a treadmill in my apartment so l am wondering if a stationary bike will help me to lose weight if used regularly?l do not want big muscle legs just wanna lose weight.When l did spin classes l felt like my legs bulked up???

You can not get bulky legs from spinning, they will get toned.

in terms of the amount of exercise gained from using a stationary bike vs. a treadmill. you are getting much more by spinning, when running on a treadmill you are not carrying your own wieght against gravity, rather just the treadmill is belt but when spinning it is if you are actually riding a bycicle but inside.

Neither running on a treadmill nor riding a stationary bike will give u massive legs unless you're really just going overboard at it. Of course, if you're running at a massive incline or riding against massive resistance they will get bigger.

Realisticaly though, ur legs may feel like they're bulking up because the fat is turning to muscle in them but, physiologically speaking, muscle is four times more dense than fat so in terms of size. they will get smaller.

Either is a great way to stay in shape & both offer benefits that cant be found in the other. Running exercises ur core muscle much more than riding a stationary bike & also provides benefits to the hip adductors & abductors that cant be had by cycling.

Riding the bike will give u a much more targeted workout and, for nearly anyone, its much easier to sustain a higher rate of exertion on a bike than is possible running & also allows for a great workout without the impact running has upon joints.
